Our working line puppies generally range from $1800 - $2800 and show lines generally range from $2500 - $3500. These are general price ranges and pricing can vary depending on pedigrees and individual puppies. Deposits are required in order to be placed on the waiting list and are non-refundable, although deposits can be transferred to another upcoming litter, if requested or if there are not enough puppies in a litter to accommodate everyone on our list. Deposits can be transferred no more than twice and will only be held for two years before it is forfeited. Puppies generally will be sold as "pet quality" unless evaluated as "working quality" by a professional trainer. Most puppies would do well in ACTIVE companion homes and in homes wanting to start in club level Schutzhund (IPO) Dog sports. All puppies come with pre-paid AKC registration, litter pedigree, micro-chipped, Up-to-Date on vaccinations, de-wormed, started on heart-worm medication, vet health record, puppy gift basket (bowl, leash, collar, food, toy, blanket, etc), and hip/health guarantee per written contract. All puppies sold will be either DM "Clear" or "Carrier" - Puppies will NOT be "AT RISK" for DM per parentage.
All puppies are sold with LIMITED AKC registration which can be converted to FULL registration once the puppy passes the required health certifications as specified in the written contract. This is done in order to protect the German Shepherd breed from being plagued with genetic health problems due to poor breeding practices.

Understanding Hip and Elbow ratings
Since the AKC requires no genetic health testing for hips/elbows, we use the SV model (passing hips required in Germany since 1966). Passing hips range from A-Normal to Noch-Zugelassen. For Elbows, passing ranges from Normal (0/0) to ED Noch-Zugelassen (1/1). Below are the charts to help explain the ratings.
We are very excited to announce our K2 litter with VD Xia Warpeco, ZVV1 and Havoc vom Haus Middleton. We expect this litter to have insane food/ball drive and moderate energy with a nice "off switch" when in the home. Puppies should be highly trainable and able to compete in most club level AKC sports but also make excellent family pets for ACTIVE companion homes. These puppies should be very loyal and territorial/protective as adults. Puppies will all be stock coat (NO LONG COATS) and coloring will be dark sable, solid black and/or bi-color.
The dam, Xia Warpeco, was imported from the Czech Republic and has a-normal hips/elbows, is DM "Clear", Spondy "0" and clear shoulder x-rays. Xia has been Embark DNA tested for over 250 illnesses known to have a genetic component. She also earned her "VD" show title, which is equivilant to "very good". She has her ZVV1 working title, which she earned before the age of two and which tests her ability at protection, obedience and tracking.
The sire, Havoc vom Haus Middleton is the great grandson of my now deceased Police K9 partner, Tex vom Erlenbusch. His dam is our Czech import, Zea Kateko, ZVV1, who was also tested in protection, obedience and tracking. Havoc has certified hips, 0/1 elbows, is DM Clear and has been tested for over 250 illnesses known to have a genetic components.
We expect mating to take place in February 2025, with puppies being whelped at the end of April/beginning May and available to go home mid-June 2025. German Shepherd experience preferred.

J2 Litter
Chase/Natsu - whelped 08/26/24
Josie from our J2 litter has become available. She has moderate-high energy/drive and has been socialized with other dogs and with cats. She has been exposed to children, but has not lived in the home with them. She is currently teething and a bit "bitey", so she'd probably do best with older children at this point. Even though she's teething now, she is pretty easily re-directed to her yak chew or bully stick. She LOVES other dogs and wants to play constantly, including when it's "quiet time", so a home where she's the only dog would probably be the most peaceful for her humans. If there are no other dogs around, she is content laying on her dog bed and relaxing in the home with her family. If there are other dogs in the home, she would do best with larger dogs with similar energy levels. She's great with cats if they correct her and don't want anything to do with her. She's got prey drive, so if they run, she will chase and want to play.
Josie knows quite a few obedience commands and will work for treats. Excellent food/toy drive. She's got a GREAT nose and it's always on the ground, so she would probably do very well in some sort of scent work or Search and Rescue. Josie is also very athletic, so I suspect she would most likely excel in agility as well. She absolutely loves playing fetch and will bring the ball back ... most of the time :-) She's confident and fearless and isn't intimidated by stairs, water hoses or really anything we've discovered so far. No leash reactivity or fear aggression issues towards dogs, cats or humans. She's completely potty/crate trained. She can be quite strong-willed and determined, so she does need a firm, but kind, hand. She has a BIG personality, so you're personality needs to be bigger than hers or she will try to run the show. She's very sweet and affectionate and could be a fun puppy for someone who has a good understanding of the breed. She is currently 20 weeks old and has all of her age-appropriate vaccinations.
The dam is Chase vom Haus Middleton, from our "Y" litter with our Czech Imports, VD Donar Skocicka samota, ZVV1 and Zea Kateko, ZVV1. Chase is a moderate to high energy, medium drive dog who loves to have fun. Her favorite toy is her Jolly Ball, she loves water and chasing the quads around our 20 acre ranch. She's a happy girl who is incredibly smart and excels in her training classes. Chase is an athletic, long, lean sable girl with a ton of personality and intense focus that I'm sure she will pass down to her puppies. As for health, Chase has certified OFA "excellent" hips and "normal" elbows. She is DM "clear" and has been Embark DNA tested for 256 illnesses known to have a genetic component.
The sire is G Hadhafang Vom Adlerhimmel. PD1, P1, P1S, BH, OB1, FO, RN, UJJ, UNJ, CGCA, Diabetic Alert Dog (Call name "Natsu" - owned and loved by Dakonic German Shepherds). Natsu is a very sound-minded dog with countless accomplishments. Natsu is a Diabetic Alert Service Dog for his handler, an established dog trainer/behavioralist. He is also proficient in herding sheep, cows, goats and chickens. He has titles in obedience, protection, dock diving, barn hunt and a variety of other dog sports. That all being said, one of his favorite activities is loving up on kids, especially his little human brothers. Natsu has OFA "Good" hips and "Normal" elbows. He is also DM "clear" and has been Embark DNA tested for 256 illnesses known to have a genetic component.
Josie had been adopted, but due to a medical emergency in the family, they are not able to give her the time she needs to be a great dog. We have significantly discounted Josie in order to find her a new home quickly. She is approximately half the price of our 8 week old puppies and already has some obedience training, is crate/potty trained, has been socialized and is fully vaccinated. There are no other discounts available for Josie. Please contact me at dlhk9tex@yahoo.com for Josie's adoption fee. She is NOT FREE.
